582. Allegations.

The following provisions apply where any allegation1 is made against a registrant2 to the effect that:

  1.  

    (1)     his fitness to practise is impaired by reason of:

    1.  

      (a)     misconduct3;

    2.  

      (b)     lack of competence4;

    3.  

      (c)     a conviction5 or caution in the United Kingdom6 for a criminal offence, or a conviction elsewhere for an offence which, if committed in England and Wales, would constitute a criminal offence7;

    4.  

      (d)     his physical or mental health8; or

    5.  

      (e)     a determination by a body in the United Kingdom responsible under any enactment for the regulation of a health or social care profession to the effect that
