The following provisions1 apply in relation to introductory tenancies2 as they apply in relation to secure tenancies3.
Accordingly, the terms4 of an introductory tenancy may be varied5 in the following ways, and not otherwise6:
(1) by agreement between the landlord7 and the tenant8;
(2) to the extent that the variation relates to rent or to payments in respect of rates, council tax or services, by the landlord or the tenant in accordance with a provision in the lease9 or agreement creating the tenancy, or in an agreement varying it10;
(3) by notice of variation of a periodic tenancy11.
