A long residential tenancy1 may be brought to an end at the term date2 by not less than one month's notice in writing given by the tenant3 to his immediate landlord4. A tenancy which is continuing5 after the term date may be brought to an end at any time by not less than one month's notice in writing given by the tenant to his immediate landlord, whether the notice is given before or after the term date of the tenancy
