(1) the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Act 19541; or
(2) the provisions of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989,2
relating to tenancies granted in continuation of long tenancies apply to a tenancy3, the tenancy is treated for the relevant purposes4 as granted to expire on the date which is the term date5 for the purposes of the Landlord and Tenant Act 19546 or on the date which is the term date for the purposes of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989, 7as the case may be8.
