882. Security of tenure; in general.

An assured tenancy1 cannot be brought to an end by the landlord2 except by:

(1)     obtaining an order of the court for possession of the dwelling house3 under the Housing Act 1988 provisions4, and obtaining the execution of the order5;

(2)     obtaining6 a demotion order7; or

(3)     in the case of a fixed term tenancy8 which contains power for the landlord to determine the tenancy9 in certain circumstances, by the exercise of that power10; or
