687. Second succession generally excluded.

A person cannot become a statutory tenant1 or an assured tenant2 by a second succession3 if:

  1.  

    (1)     there has been a change of the statutory tenancy by agreement4; or

  2.  

    (2)     the statutory tenancy of the original tenant arose by virtue of certain specified5 statutory provisions6; or

  3.  

    (3)     the tenancy of the original tenant was granted on or after 1 January 1977
