Rent assessment committees for Wales are constituted in accordance with the following provisions1.
The Welsh Ministers2 must draw up and from time to time revise a panel of persons to act as chairmen and other members of rent assessment committees in Wales3. The panel must consist of a number of persons appointed by the Lord Chancellor4 and a number of persons appointed by the Welsh Ministers5; and the Welsh Ministers must nominate one of the persons appointed by the Lord Chancellor to act as president of the panel and one or more such persons to act as vice-president or vice-presidents6.
