813. Registration of rent and its effect.

In England, the Chamber President of the Property Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal1 must prepare and keep up to date a register2 for the purposes of Part V of the Rent Act 19773 and must make the register available for inspection in such place or places and in such manner as the Lord Chancellor4 may direct5.

The register must be so prepared and kept up to date as to contain, with regard to any contract relating to a dwelling6 in England and under which a rent7 is payable which has been approved, reduced or increased under the relevant statutory provisions8, entries of:


    (1)     the prescribed particulars9 with regard to the contract;


    (2)     a specification of the dwelling to which the contract relates; and


    (3)     the rent as approved, reduced or increased by the First-
