Every local housing authority1 or housing action trust2 which lets3 dwelling houses4 under introductory tenancies5 must from time to time publish information about its introductory tenancies, in such form as it considers best suited to explain in simple terms, and, so far as it considers it appropriate, the effect of the express terms6 of its introductory tenancies, the effect of the provisions of the Housing Act 1996 relating to introductory tenancies7, and the effect of the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 that govern the landlord's repairing obligations8.
