The following examples are of transactions in which exclusive possession was not conferred upon the grantee, and accordingly no tenancy can have been created1: an agreement for standing room in a factory for lace machines, the owner of the factory supplying steam power and reserving the right to enter for the purpose of attending to the running gear2; the letting of bookstalls on a railway platform3; the letting of space for a stall in an exhibition4; permission to use a shed for particular purposes5; a right for directors of one company to use a boardroom on premises of another
