692. Meaning of 'regulated tenancy'.

For the purposes of the Rent Act 1977, a 'regulated tenancy' is a protected or statutory tenancy1. Where a regulated tenancy is followed by a statutory tenancy of the same dwelling house, the two are to be treated for the purposes of that Act as together constituting one regulated tenancy2.
