877. Loss of assured tenancy status.

The Prevention of Social Housing Fraud Act 2013 introduced provisions designed to prevent or discourage tenants from subletting in breach of the tenancy1. If, in breach of an express or implied term of the tenancy, a tenant2 of a dwelling house3 let4 under an assured tenancy5:


    (1)     under which the landlord6 is a private registered provider of social housing7 or a registered social landlord8; and


    (2)     which is not a shared ownership lease9,

either parts with possession of the dwelling house
