537. General effect of the Landlord and Tenant (Requisitioned Land) Act 1942.

The Landlord and Tenant (Requisitioned Land) Act 1942 contains provisions authorising the disclaimer of certain leases1 comprising land2 which has been requisitioned under emergency powers3. The provisions of the Landlord and Tenant (Requisitioned Land) Act 1942, so far as they relate to the disclaimer of leases, apply only to a lease which:

  1.  

    (1)     provides that the term thereby created will expire, or may be determined, at a date not later than five years after the material date4; or
