A tenant who wishes to exercise an option to renew must conform with the conditions in the lease as to its exercise1, and those conditions will be strictly construed2. In general the option must be exercised by a notice given at or before the stated time before the termination of the lease3. If the tenant purports to exercise the option by a notice given before such a stated time, he must do so at a reasonable time before that stated time4. If no time is stated in which the option is to be exercised, the right to do so
