927. Effect of order made in relation to fixed term tenancy.

Where a court1 makes an order for possession2 of a dwelling house3 on or after the coming to an end of an assured shorthold tenancy4 which was a fixed term tenancy5, any statutory periodic tenancy6 which has arisen on the coming to an end of the assured shorthold tenancy ends7 when the order is executed8.

Unless the tenancy is a demoted assured shorthold tenancy9, where an order for possession10 is made in relation to a dwelling house let on a tenancy created on or after 28 February 199711, the order may not be made so as to take effect earlier
