The appropriate national authority1 must make regulations2 about the content and form of the articles of association of RTM companies3. An RTM company may adopt provisions of the regulations for its articles4; and the regulations may include provision which is to have effect for an RTM company whether or not it is adopted by the company5. The RTM Companies (Model Articles) (England) Regulations 20096, and the corresponding regulations applying in Wales7, have been made in the exercise of these powers.
