An application may be made1 to an appropriate tribunal2 in respect of two or more leases3 for an order varying each of those leases in such manner as is specified in the application4. Those leases must, however, be long leases5 of flats6 under which the landlord7 is the same person (although they need not be leases of flats which are in the same building, nor leases which are drafted in identical terms)8.
The grounds on which such an application may be made are that the object to be achieved by the variation cannot be satisfactorily achieved unless all the leases
