Unless a permit1 has been granted by the Secretary of State or written authorisation granted by another contracting party2, it is an offence for a United Kingdom national in Antarctica or a non-national on a British expedition3 to:
(1) intentionally kill, injure, capture, handle or molest any native mammal4 or native bird5;
(2) while on foot intentionally disturb a breeding or moulting native bird, or a concentration of native mammals or native birds6;
(3) use a vehicle, vessel or aircraft in a manner that disturbs a concentration of native mammals or native birds7;
