The United Kingdom has entered into headquarters agreements with certain international organisations which have their headquarters in the United Kingdom. These agreements confer privileges and immunities upon the premises and archives and the personnel attached to the organisation, and secure exemption from direct taxation and customs duties and freedom of communication.
