440.     Enforcement of the Court's sentences and orders.

Consistent with the United Kingdom's willingness to accept for the purpose of enforcement of their sentences persons sentenced to imprisonment by the ICC1, the International Criminal Court Act 2001 provides for the detention of such persons in the United Kingdom and related matters2. Persons transferred to the United Kingdom to serve a sentence imposed by the ICC may not be extradited to another state unless the Presidency of the Court has approved such extradition at the request of the United Kingdom, except where, having served the sentenced
