Where a state1 has agreed in writing to submit a dispute which has arisen, or may arise to arbitration, it is not immune from proceedings in the United Kingdom2 courts3 which relate to the arbitration4. However, this is subject to any contrary provision in the arbitration agreement and does not apply to any arbitration agreement between states5.
