24. Variation and revocation of leave to enter or remain.

Where limited leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom1 is granted, it may be varied, whether by restricting, enlarging or removing the limit on its duration, or by adding, varying or revoking conditions2.

The Secretary of State3 may revoke a person's indefinite leave4 to enter or remain in the United Kingdom if:


    (1)     the person is liable to deportation5, but cannot be deported for legal reasons6;


    (2)     the leave was obtained by deception7; or


    (3)     the person, or someone of whom he is a dependant, ceases to be a refugee8 as a result of voluntarily availing himself of
