An applicant will be refused indefinite leave to remain1 on grounds of suitability if any of the following apply2:
(1) the applicant is currently the subject of a deportation order3;
(2) the presence of the applicant in the United Kingdom4 is not conducive to the public good5 because:
(a) they have been convicted of an offence for which they have been sentenced to imprisonment for at least four years6;
(b) they have been convicted of an offence for which they have been sentenced to imprisonment for less than four years but at least 12 months, unless a period of
