Where a non-British citizen1 arrives in the United Kingdom2 for the purposes of joining a ship or aircraft3 as a member of a crew4 and, having been given limited leave to enter by an immigration officer5, remains beyond the time limited by that leave or is reasonably suspected by an immigration officer of intending to do so, an immigration officer may6:
(1) give the captain7 of that ship or aircraft directions requiring the captain to remove him from the United Kingdom in that ship or aircraft8;
(2) give the owners or agents of that ship or aircraft directions requiring
