Where a deportation order is in force against any person1, the Secretary of State2 may give directions for his removal to a country or territory specified in the directions which is either a country of which he is a national or citizen or a country or territory to which there is reason to believe that he will be admitted3. Directions may be given:
(1) to the captain4 of a ship5 or aircraft6 about to leave the United Kingdom requiring him to remove the person in question
