Where a person is arrested for an offence1 at a place other than a police station2, an immigration officer may search the arrested person for anything which he might use to assist his escape from lawful custody3 or which might be evidence relating to the offence for which he has been arrested4. An immigration officer may also search a person when they have been arrested5, for:
(1) anything which he might use to assist his escape from lawful custody6; or
(2) any document which might establish his identity, nationality or citizenship,
