A person for whom asylum support1 would otherwise be provided2 may not be provided with such support3 if at the time when his application is determined4 he has not made a claim for leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom5, or for variation of any such leave, which is being considered on the basis that he is an asylum seeker6 or he is the dependant7 of an asylum seeker8.
