The following provisions apply to persons who were granted limited leave to enter or remain as the spouse, civil partner or unmarried partner of a person present and settled1 in the United Kingdom2 under the Immigration Rules3 in force before 9 July 20124.
Indefinite leave to remain as the spouse, civil partner or unmarried partner of a person present and settled in the United Kingdom may be granted provided the Secretary of State5 is satisfied that each of the following requirements is met6:
