The Immigration Rules are under constant review and therefore immigration categories are liable to closure1. At the date at which this volume states the law the following schemes had all been closed to new applicants (and replaced by new schemes in some cases), but the Immigration Rules still provide for applicants who have already entered the United Kingdom under those schemes to apply for indefinite leave to remain.
