285. Illegal entry and similar offences.

A person who is not a British citizen1 is guilty of an offence2 in any of the following cases:


    (1)     if he knowingly enters the United Kingdom3 in breach of a deportation order or without leave4;


    (2)     if, having only a limited leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom, he knowingly either remains beyond the time limited by the leave5 or fails to observe a condition of the leave6;


    (3)     if, having entered the United Kingdom as a member of a class of persons who may lawfully enter the United Kingdom without leave7, he remains without leave
