An immigration officer, an English and Welsh constable1 or an enforcement officer2 may exercise the powers set out below in relation to:
(1) a United Kingdom ship3, a ship without nationality4, a foreign ship5 or a ship registered under the law of a relevant territory6; or
(2) a ship in Scotland waters of in Northern Ireland waters7 if the ship is pursued there, immediately before the pursuit of the ship the ship was in England and Wales waters, and before the pursuit of the ship a signal is given8 for it to stop and the pursuit of the ship
