697. Welfare facilities in regard to construction.

The client1, the contractor2 and the principal contractor3 all have a duty to ensure that the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 20154 as to welfare facilities are complied with. Those requirements are as follows5.

Suitable and sufficient sanitary conveniences must be provided or made available at readily accessible places and, so far as is reasonably practicable6, rooms containing sanitary conveniences must be adequately ventilated and lit7.
