The duty holder in relation to an offshore installation1 for which there are one or more safety representatives2 must establish a safety committee3, including the installation manager4 as chairman, one further person who may be appointed by the duty holder or the installation manager, all the safety representatives, and such other persons as the safety committee may co-opt by the unanimous vote of the members of the committee present and voting on the co-option5.
The first meeting of a safety committee must be called6 by the chairman within six weeks of the date of its establishment, and thereafter at least
