523. Obligations of manufacturers in regard to simple pressure vessels.

Before placing a category A vessel1 on the market2, a manufacturer3 must ensure that the vessel has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the essential safety requirements4Before placing a category B vessel5 on the market, a manufacturer must ensure that the vessel has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the sound engineering practice of an EEA state6.

Before placing a category A vessel on the market, a manufacturer must draw up the technical documentation7 in respect of that vessel and carry out a relevant conformity assessment procedure8 in respect of the vessel or have such a procedure carried out9.
