699. Notifications in regard to work in compressed air.

Subject to the following provision, the compressed air contractor1 must ensure that no person works in compressed air unless the compressed air contractor has given notice of the work in compressed air2 to the Health and Safety Executive3 at least 14 days before the work is to commence4. Where, however, owing to an emergency or to circumstances which could not reasonably have been foreseen it is not practicable to comply with the requirement that notice of work in compressed air be given at least 14 days before that work is due to commence, such notice must be given as
