612. Information, instruction and training for persons who may be exposed to substances hazardous to health.

Every employer who undertakes work1 which is liable to expose an employee2 to a substance hazardous to health3 must provide that employee with suitable and sufficient information, instruction and training4. The information, instruction and training so provided must5 include:

  1.  

    (1)     details of the substances hazardous to health to which the employee is liable to be exposed including:

    1.  

      (a)     the names of those substances and the risk6 which they present to health;

    2.  

      (b)     any relevant workplace exposure limit7 or similar occupational exposure limit;

    3.  

      (c)     access to any relevant safety data sheet8; and

    4.  

      (d)     other legislative provisions which concern the hazardous
