594. Environments, insulations, conductors, connections and isolators in regard to electricity.

Electrical equipment1 which may reasonably foreseeably be exposed to:

  1.  

    (1)     mechanical damage;

  2.  

    (2)     the effects of the weather, natural hazards, temperature or pressure;

  3.  

    (3)     the effects of wet, dirty, dusty or corrosive conditions; or

  4.  

    (4)     any flammable or explosive substance, including dusts, vapours or gases,

must be of such construction or, as necessary, protected so far as to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable2, danger3 arising from such exposure4.
