There are two separate sets of regulations which make general provision for employee health and safety representatives, the Safety Representatives and Safety Committees Regulations 19771 which were made under the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 19742 and the Health and Safety (Consultation with Employees) Regulations 19963 which were made under the European Communities Act 19724.
