The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 19921 govern the health and safety aspects of workstations2. For the purposes of the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, 'workstation' means an assembly comprising:
(1) display screen equipment3, whether provided with software determining the interface between the equipment and its operator4 or user5, a keyboard, or any other input device6;
(2) any optional accessories to the display screen equipment7;
(3) any disk drive, telephone, modem, printer, document holder, work chair, work surface, or other item peripheral to the display screen equipment8; and
(4) the immediate work environment around
