The conformity assessment procedure1 for machinery2 varies according to whether or not the machinery falls within a specified category. If machinery falls within a category which is not referred to in Annex IV to the Machinery Directive3, the responsible person4 must follow5 the conformity assessment procedure with internal checks on the manufacture of machinery prescribed6 in respect of it7.
