Every employer must ensure that work at height1 is: (1) properly planned2; (2) appropriately supervised; and (3) carried out in a manner which is so far as is reasonably practicable3 safe, and that its planning includes the required selection of work equipment4. Subject to certain exceptions5 every employer must ensure that work at height is carried out only when the weather conditions do not jeopardise the health or safety of persons involved in the work6.
