An employer or other person responsible1 who carries out work which is liable to expose any employees to noise2 at or above a lower exposure action value3 must make a suitable and sufficient assessment of the risk from that noise to the health and safety of those employees, and the risk assessment4 must identify the measures which need to be taken to meet the requirements of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 20055.
