Subject to certain exclusions1, the safety of pressure equipment2 and assemblies3 with a maximum allowable pressure (PS)4 greater than 0.5 bar placed on the market5 on or after 8 December 20166 is governed by the Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations 20167. Those regulations do not, however, apply to the assembly of pressure equipment on the site and under the responsibility of the user8.
