The relevant regulations imposing duties on employers with regard to substances hazardous to health1 have effect with a view to protecting persons against a risk2 to their health, whether immediate or delayed, arising from exposure to substances hazardous to health3 except: 55/2019/280
(1) where and to the extent that specified regulations relating to the control of lead at work4 and the control of asbestos at work5 apply;
(2) where the substance is hazardous6 to health solely by virtue of its radioactive, explosive or flammable properties, or solely because it is at a high or low temperature or a high
