15. Where private individual carries out own conveyancing.

The restrictions in the Legal Services Act 20071 do not prevent a private individual from carrying out his own conveyancing but certain precautions need to be observed. For example, it will not be possible to accept an undertaking from such a person and special conditions may need to be inserted in the contract2 to deal with the deposit and completion monies.
