If the seller requires the purchase price to be paid in stages as the building works progress, the buyer's lender must be informed of this fact and arrangements made to release the mortgage advance in accordance with the seller's requirements. Any retention made by the buyer's lender in respect of outstanding works must be discussed with the buyer and arrangements made to cover the resulting shortfall in time for completion
