The most commonly acceptable plans for use in any deed lodged for registration at the Land Registry are copies of Ordnance Survey maps1 or copies of estate layout plans approved by the Land Registry2.
Where a plan is required for any new deed or for any application lodged at the Land Registry it should be prepared having regard to the following guidelines:
(1) it should be drawn to and show its actual scale;
(2) it should show its orientation (for example a north point);
(3) it should use preferred scales of 1/1250–1/500 for urban properties;
(4) it should use preferred
