Where the purchase deed is to be executed by a person who is acting under the authority of an enduring power of attorney1, a search should be made at the Office of the Public Guardian2 to check whether or not registration of the power has been effected or is pending3. If no registration has been made or is pending the transaction may proceed to completion. If the power has been registered the attorney may deal with the land and provided the donor is still alive, completion may proceed because the power cannot be revoked without notification to the Office
