A new landlord who acquires a reversionary interest in flats from a seller who is in breach of the provisions of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 can be required (on request made by a majority of the qualifying tenants) to supply details of the transaction to a nominee of the qualifying tenants1. The qualifying tenants, by serving a purchase notice on the new landlord, can require him to dispose of his interest to a nominee of the qualifying tenants on the same terms as he acquired his interest
