A consignor or other bailor under a contract of carriage1 is bound by an exclusion or limitation clause2 contained in any sub-bailment of the goods by the carrier to a sub-bailee3, irrespective of any contract between him and the sub-bailee4, if he expressly or impliedly consents to the carrier's conclusion of the sub-bailment on such terms5. The bailor will not, however, be bound by an exclusion or limitation clause contained in the sub-bailment, to the imposition of which he has not expressly or impliedly (or perhaps ostensibly) consented
